How Our Hives Began
What started with a surprise gift in 2015—a beekeeping course right here in Barnet—has grown into a passion that defines our days. We originally just wanted a couple of jars for our morning toast, but nature had bigger plans.
Now, our hives produce enough to share with our family, friends, and the lovely neighbours who stop by our honesty box at the front gate. Beekeeping is a labor of love that keeps us busy from March through October; our bees certainly keep us on our toes, especially during swarm season or when the hives are overflowing.
When harvest time comes, it’s all hands on deck as family and friends gather to help with extraction, jarring, and labeling before the first chill of autumn arrives. It’s a simple, honest process that ends at the little wooden box by our gate, with jars waiting to find a place at your breakfast table too.
What We Stand For
Raw & Pure
Zero shortcuts. Our honey is unpasteurised and course filtered to preserve every bit of the floral goodness collected by our bees.
Care for Bees
Their health comes first. We prioritize sustainable beekeeping over high yields, ensuring our colonies thrive year-round.
Honesty
Total transparency from bloom to jar. Every batch is a unique story of our Hadley Wood gardens, harvested with care.
Community
We love sharing the buzz. We’re dedicated to educating our neighbors on the vital role pollinators play in our world.
Simple, Honest Beekeeping
The bees always come first. Since 2015, we’ve focused on a slow, artisanal approach that puts the welfare of our colonies above everything else. We harvest our raw honey in small batches, ensuring the bees have more than enough for themselves before we take any surplus. Because our honey is raw and never blended, it naturally changes with the seasons—you might find it liquid and golden in the summer or thick and creamy as the weather turns. It’s a simple, educational peek into nature’s cycle, harvested by hand and never pasteurised, to keep all the natural goodness exactly where it belongs.
